(영어 구동사) 특정 상태를 유지하는 Stay 활용 방법

Stay 는 무엇인가가 변하지 않고 그 상태를 유지하는 느낌의 단어이다. 이 느낌을 알고 가면 아래 표현들이 왜 이런 뜻인지 한 번에 와닿을 것이다.

늦게까지 깨어 있다.

하룻밤 묵다.

항상 얘기하지만 구동사는 앞의 동사의 느낌만 확실히 알면 처음 보는게 튀어나와도 뜻을 유추하는데 무리가 없다.
